Volunteers are critical to the efficient running of Saints Peter and Paul School. Your contributions are tremendous and we appreciate all you do. All volunteers are subject to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality in regard to students. The confidentiality policy states:
Confidentiality: Teachers and parents are expected to maintain the highest level of confidentiality in regard to information about students. Parent volunteers are not allowed to discuss what is observed or heard in the classroom. It is the teachers’ function to report significant information to parents about their student. Parents are not to approach students who are not their children regarding behavior or academic performance while volunteering or on-campus for other reasons.
Volunteer Opportunities
Saints Peter and Paul School offers many opportunities for volunteers to immerse themselves in activities and events throughout the year. There are opportunities to help during the school day, with school functions, or fundraising effort throughout the year. Each year, we hold a back to school parent barbecue, All Saints Day Carnival, Christmas Pageant, the annual Partners in Academic Excellence Gala, annual Concert By the Sea dinner/dance, and a school carnival in May. Parent fundraisers include World’s Finest chocolates, Pacific Sales baked goods, Christmas wrapping paper – all to raise money to offset the cost of educating students.
Other activities, such as book fairs, staff appreciation luncheons, and sports games allow parents and friends of Saints Peter and Paul to lend their time and talent by volunteering. Our Parent Committee plays a big role in helping to organize these activities and others such as family nights, evening roller skating and movie nights. Upon registration, parents are asked to complete an Interest Inventory of the activities in which they would like to participate.

Removal of Volunteers
Volunteers must behave in a manner consistent with Diocesan policy and that maintains the confidentiality of our students at all times. The Principal and/or Pastor reserve the right to remove anyone from a volunteer position at any time for any reason. Saints Peter and Paul School and its employees are committed to ensuring the safety of children.
