More than teachers —witnesses

Pope St. Paul VI observed that modern people listen more willingly to witnesses than to teachers — and that when they do listen to teachers, it is because those teachers are witnesses. The faculty and staff at Sts. Peter and Paul are committed to being exactly that: living witnesses to the joy and truth of the Catholic faith, in every classroom, every day.

Our teachers understand themselves as called, formed, and sent — three words that describe every vocation in the Church.

Called

Our teachers believe they have been personally called by God to this work. That conviction shapes everything — the patience in a difficult moment, the care for a struggling student, the joy they carry into the classroom each morning.

Formed

Through ongoing formation in the Evermode Institute — a curriculum developed by the Norbertine Fathers — our teachers grow not only in subject knowledge, but dispose themselves to receive God's grace, as they grow in virtue, and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and pass down the Catholic intellectual tradition they have been formed in.

Sent

Just as the Norbertine Fathers are sent from the Abbey into parishes and schools, our teachers understand themselves as sent into this classroom and community with purpose and urgency, for the salvation of souls.
